Sleepycat Software

Sleepycat Software was started by Keith Bostic as a small software startup well known for its Berkeley DB product line. Over 200 million open source projects and commercial customers use Berkeley DB to provide fast, local persistence with zero administration. The Berkeley DB is used in common systems you interact with on a daily basis, such as AOL Instant Messenger, Wireless Networks and Mozilla Firefox. Sleepycat stood out as one of the most successful companies dedicated to an open source business model, and Bostic is recognized in Wikipedia as a key figure in the history of free software. Sleepycat was recently acquired by Oracle.

When Sleepycat Software first came to INetU they were looking for a way to outsource their hosting needs in order to alleviate time strain on their engineers. This is important to Bostic since his business is software.

As someone who has outsourced other aspects of his business, Bostic respects the level of service he has received from INetU. He views the benefits from INetU as outweighing the costs, "I was happy to pay more to INetU because they owned the entire problem, and no matter what problem I was having, they were there to help."
