Windows Systems Administrator (Ninja Level)

Position Summary

You'll have ninja level skills in Windows and preferably Linux and networking too. Anything you don't know you learn quickly.

Your goal will be to make INetU more kaizen than it already is. When something complicated is broken, you'll know how to fix it and make sure it never breaks again. For good measure, you'll find ways to spot similar problems in the future and fix them before they even happen. We'll always wonder how we managed without you.

When new technology comes along, you'll recognize its value and apply it to our environment. You'll test it, stage it in a safe area, and when it passes your strict quality standards, it'll get released. Our clients will see it and begin cheering your name.

New ideas will flow constantly from your brain – in between solving impossible problems you'll be in the lab creating pure awesomeness. You'll never be satisfied with anything – you'll always know how to make it better. Your peers will constantly want to spend time learning from you.

INetU will, from time to time, ask you to take on new projects or work on things you haven't done before, and you'll be ready for the challenge. In fact, you'll often be leading the way.

Position Requirements

You should possess some combination of:

  • A college degree
  • A ton of relevant experience
  • A super power

You should be able to:

  • Communicate effectively, even when things get crazy or people don't understand you.
  • Tolerate interaction with co-workers, vendors and clients.
  • Multitask, even when it's not clear which task has the highest priority.
  • Understand Lost, and be able to discuss it intelligently.
  • Successfully handle a Kobayashi Maru test.

You'll need to be reliable and hard working.

You should understand why The Breakfast Club is better than Ferris Beuller's Day Off.

You should understand the rules for common game shows, and be able to appreciate cultural references, even weird ones from the 80's.
