Your Customers Depend On You. Your Web Environment Depends On Us.

ALLENTOWN, Pa., Sept. 12, 2011 --  /PRNewswire/ -- Leading managed hosting and business cloud provider INetU (www.inetu.net) will offer computer programmers insight on adhering to online compliance regulations and the future of automated security tools at PyGotham, a conference held in New York City on September 16-17th. PyGotham sessions include presentations by Scott Walters of INetU and Charles Henderson  of SpiderLabs Trustwave. The talks will cover hosting configurations, load balancing, thwarting hackers, PCI compliance, cloud computing and more.

"These sessions are going to give programmers a better understanding of what it means to be compliant in a present-day virtual environment where increased regulations and standards are laws rather than best practices," said Dev Chanchani, president of INetU. "Participants will learn what tools will allow them to develop secure code and maintain a high level of protection."

PyGotham focuses on the Python programming language but also features a wide array of other information technology topics including security, compliance and open source software. The two-day event will take place at the Executive Conference Center (1601 Broadway, 8th Floor – entrance on 48th St.) in Manhattan. For more information and to register to attend the speaking sessions, visit www.pygotham.org.

Walters and Henderson will hold their presentations on both days of PyGotham. Here are session details for each speaker:

"What's the Hubbub on Compliance?"

Presented by Scott Walters, Director of Client Services, INetU, Inc

Friday, September 16, 10:00am – 11:00am

Saturday, September 17, 10:45am – 11:45am

You've probably heard about, or been exposed to, many different compliance regulations these days such as SAS70, SSAE16, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc. What do they all mean and why have they been put into place? Scott Walters will answer those questions and also cover some lessons learned during implementation and on-going support of environments that need to be compliant. He will also go over open source tools that can be effective to help meet compliance regulations.

"You Can't Scan for The Stupid"

Presented by Charles Henderson, Director of Application Security Services, SpiderLabs Trustwave

Friday, September 16, 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Saturday, September 17, 9:30am – 10:30am

Every developer wants to develop secure code, and automated application security tools are an appealing choice for developers who might be looking for a silver bullet. However, manual security testing isn't going anywhere until the HAL Application Scanner comes online. This developer centric presentation will use often humorous, real-world examples to illustrate the relative strengths and weaknesses of automated solutions and manual techniques.

These sessions are part of INetU's IT Expert Series, which exists to provide the public with up to date information on technology, security and compliance in the hosting industry. Look for details on future INetU IT Expert Series events and news at www.inetu.net.
